Past Shows

International Award winning Country Duo, SUGAR AND SPICE (Danita Lynn and Shelly Dubois) have been experiencing success since their first single release in 2019.   When a world event caused us to pause in 2020, Sugar and Spice continued to write, record and release singles as well as releasing an EP in January of 2021.  

After meeting at a music festival in 2013, their passion for writing was ignited and they have since created a repertoire of songs all while solidifying a deep friendship and sisterhood.  In 2016 they branded themselves as SUGAR AND SPICE.

As independent recording artists in the country music scene,  Danita and Shelly have both toured extensively as solo acts opening for other artists and had success releasing singles to country radio.  They have performed at rodeos, corporate gigs, country music association performances as well as large Canadian country festivals such as Calgary Stampede and Merritt Mountain Music Fest, and more.  Their talents have also garnered them individual nominations with the Country Music Alberta Association (CMAB).  As a duo, they have received nominations with the International Josie Music Awards based in Nashville, Tennessee.  Each year since 2019, they have been nominated for Duo of the Year, Song of the Year and EP of the Year.

Their single, A Different Kind of Rush recently won them an award for Country Song of the Year on October 22, 2023 at the 9th Annual Josie International Music Awards held at the Grand Ole Opry.

SUGAR AND SPICE continue to gain new fans globally on social media as well as at their live shows performing their original music and fan-favourite covers.  Their laughter and lightheartedness is contagious as they share heartwarming stories and connect with their audiences.
